NCHS Honored as Top Fund-raiser for Local MDA's Stride & Ride 2007

More than 100 NCHS parents, students and alumni gathered at Grapevine Mills Mall Jan. 27 to participate in the MDA-Fort Worth's 2007 Stride & Ride in honor of Dr. Joe Kuban, '68 alumnus and longtime NCHS faculty member.

Between Dr. Kuban's personal team of close family and friends and the NCHS Team of students/parents (and alumni) who walked in his honor, Team NCHS raised more than $6,000 and was honored with raising the most money for the event.

Dr. Kuban was among several with neuromuscular disorders who spoke at and participated in the event. Dr. Kuban was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) last fall. He told the crowd that he was walking on behalf of those who could not walk for themselves and for the Nolan Catholic family who have supported him during his many years here.

Thanks to all who turned out for the event and for all those who donated on-line and via mail to this special cause.

    Mardi Gras 2007 – A Rousing Success

After months of hard work among many volunteer parents, students and alumni, Mardi Gras preparations paid off Feb. 10 when more than 500 people came to lend their support to NCHS at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

It was a fun and festive occasion. A number of current parents and alumni joined with other NCHS parents and friends of NCHS in donating their time, talents and services to this year's Mardi Gras.

While numbers are still being tallied, the Development Office said the event was a success in bringing in needed funds to NCHS.

Merci Beaucoup to all who contributed in some form or fashion. You are a blessing to NCHS.
