The goals of the Lifesavers are to promote the sanctity of life at all stages. The Lifesavers seek to be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves, promoting the dignity of all people.

The NHS and NJHS are committed to service, scholarship, leadership and character. We promote high academic success and encourage it in others through peer tutoring. We seek to educate the whole student with respect to leadership and character. We instill a dedication to service for others on our members.
• NJHS is open to 9th graders.
• NHS is open to 10th thru 12th graders.
• New members are inducted in the spring.
• Students must maintain a cumulative 93.0 average.
• Probation for one semester if average falls below 93.0.
• All students must complete 12 service hours per year (above and beyond
CM hours).
• All meetings are mandatory. They are held after school on a quarterly
basis, in the auditorium; more frequently as needed.
• Fees: $10. Senior Stoles: $20 (due in the spring).
• Special Events include “Tapping” of new members, Induction
Ceremony for new members to the NCHS Chapter and service projects.
• Meetings are advertised through the broadcast bulletin, posters and
a NJHS/NHS webpage on the Nolan Catholic website.
• Club shirts are available, but not required. Cost depends on the number
ordered—average price is $13-$15.

NCHS Office of Recruitment
The NCHS Ambassadors work in conjunction with the Office of Recruitment
at Open Houses, Back-To-School Nights, Placements Tests, Orientation Programs,
Liturgies and school visits.
The Ambassadors represent the best of Nolan Catholic High School.
• Open to all high school students. Current 9th, 10th and 11th grade
students apply in April for the following year. Freshmen apply in October
at the end of the first quarter.
• Students must apply each year for the Ambassador Program.
• Fees: $8 (covers the cost of the Ambassador badge)
• Club Shirt: $20 (optional)
• A mandatory orientation meeting for all Ambassadors is held in July/August
to prepare for the upcoming school year.
• Signed contract of commitment for time and events.
• One major event and two others (10 hours minimum) required.
• Meetings are advertised via e-mail, broadcast bulletin and the Ambassador
bulletin board
LINK CREW

Juniors and seniors are trained in team building activities, cooperative skill
development and discussion skills. LINK leaders work with the freshmen during
the beginning of the year orientation and then several times throughout the
year. LINK leaders become leaders, role-models, motivators and teachers. The
goal is to empower juniors and seniors as role-models for the freshmen. The
group allows successful older students to pass on positive traditions to the
younger students. LINK Crew also helps to create a supportive and positive
atmosphere on campus.
• Students must submit an application and provide a teacher’s
recommendation
• Fees: NONE
• Club Shirt: Provided
• Meetings are held once a month. LINK leaders are to touch base with
their freshmen on a regular basis.
• Special Events include Orientation and the Freshman/Senior Mass.

The Nolan Catholic Student Council is made up of peer-elected juniors and seniors. The purpose of the council is to encourage school spirit and Christian leadership. It acts as a liaison between the students and the NCHS administration.

Freshman Divisional Student Council is the student government organizational
body addressing both the needs of the freshman class and the Nolan Catholic
community as a whole. The goal of the council is to build community and to
instill a sense of school pride through leadership in service.

• Special Events include the Mary Most Holy Mother of All Nations prayer

We are a gathering of people interested in engineering as a hobby and as a profession. Our activities include lots of “Build & Break” sessions. The goal is to become problem solvers and to improve creativity.

A social organization for students of German and students with an interest in German things. The primary goal is social; however, we also compete with German Clubs from other schools in soccer and in academics, talent, arts and crafts, music, etc.

National Spanish Honor Society

The Spanish Honor Society is an honorary organization to which certain students are invited to join. The purpose of the group is to explore various Spanish speaking countries through their crafts, movies and food. National Spanish Honor Society members must also be a member of the NCHS Spanish Club with 125 participation points.
• Eligible students must have a 90 GPA and at least be a sophomore
taking Spanish II. Juniors and seniors may also be inducted.
• Fees: NONE

• Students must earn 25 participation points to remain a member.
• Special events include the December 12th Liturgy, the Induction Dinner
and movie night.

The goal of this society is to stimulate interest in the study of French, to promote high standards of scholarship, to reward scholastic achievements, to create enthusiasm for and an understanding of Francophone culture and civilization, to promote and perpetuate international friendship, and to reward efforts toward furthering solidarity in the French speaking world.
• Candidates must have maintained an A average in French during the semester of selection, as well as an average cumulative grade of A- for all work awarded secondary school credit.
• Meetings are twice a month on Wednesday at 3:15pm in Room B22. Meetings are announced in the broadcast bulletin.
• Special events include the induction ceremony and dinner which takes place every year in the spring. Students are to wear the honor cord at graduation.

The goal of the Asian Club is to give the students an appreciation of the
different cultures of Asia. Students participate with the teachers in activities.

Poetry Club

The Poetry Club is for all students with a love of or interest in the poetic arts. We will discuss, analyze, and orally present poetry, as well as hone our competition skills in poetic forms. The goal is to increase understanding of the various forms, devices and meanings of poetry, as well as the “ability” to write effective verse in a fun environment.
• All Nolan Catholic students are eligible to join, provided they are
not on academic probation.

The Art Club is open to all those who have a love and appreciation of art and wish to share this experience with one another. The goal of the group is to promote an appreciation and enjoyment of art.

Cheerleaders (JV and Varsity)

The cheerleaders are responsible for cheering at home and away games for JV and Varsity football and basketball. They also participate in fundraisers, scheduled practices and events for NCHS athletic teams. The goal is to promote school spirit and to support all athletic organizations. The cheerleaders are also responsible for representing NCHS and promoting Christian leadership and service to others.
• Overall GPA of 80 or higher. No “U” or below in citizenship
• Tryouts are in the spring. Information is available on the Nolan Catholic
website after Christmas.
• Fees: $1,100-$1,400 per year
• Required: Three (3) cheer uniforms and practice outfits
• Practice/Cheer: 6-15 hours per week
• Practice and meetings are held at Nolan Catholic High School and at
an off-site cheerleading gym once a week.
• Special events include UCA Summer Camp, Fall Cheer Clinic Fundraiser
and optional competition team.
• Members are notified of meetings and events through the cheerleading
page on the NCHS website, the broadcast bulletin, e-Trumpet and flyers. (Current

The Nolan Catholic Car Club is a group of students who have a particular interest in cars, the automotive industry, auto mechanics, motor sports and, above all, developing friendships with other people with similar interests. The purpose of the Nolan Catholic Car Club is to promote camaraderie and fellowship through shared interests in the automotive world while here at Nolan Catholic High School.

• Club Shirt: May be purchased, but not required
• Meetings are held on Tuesday afternoons, every two weeks, in room
B17 at 3:20pm. To be considered a member, you must attend 70% of the meetings.
• Special events include two annual picnics. The club also attends several
local automotive events throughout the year.

This is a group for anyone who enjoys fishing as a sport or simply as a recreational activity. We discuss many aspects of fishing and offer a forum to gain ideas and create relationships based on a common interest. The purpose is to promote understanding of the many different types of fishing activities, tools and strategies. The group seeks to educate participants in the appropriateness of different types of lures, knots, rods, etc. as well as promoting conservation of our public lands and waterways.
