APPLICATION
PROCEDURE FOR 2008-2009 ACADEMIC YEAR
1. Complete an Application for Admission
and submit it, with a non-refundable $45 application fee, to the NCHS
Office of Recruitment. Applications are available September 1, 2007.
2. Attend one of the two Open Houses
scheduled throughout the year.
3. For incoming freshmen, take the Placement Test on Saturday, Jan.19,
2008,
9 a.m. - noon on the NCHS campus. (Students completing an application
for admission for the 9th grade are automatically registered for the
January test. A confirmation card and a request for a writing sample
will be mailed to you.).
4. Evaluation packets are mailed after the January testing.* This
packet includes a request for a principal recommendation, math and
English teacher evaluations and a transcript to include two years
of previous standardized testing.
5. Offers of Acceptance are mailed by March 1, 2008.
6. Registration of upperclassmen new to NCHS is scheduled on an individual
basis. Please contact the Recruitment Office at 817-457-2920 ext.
1551.
7. Registration of all incoming freshmen is March 15, 2008. Students
are assigned a specific time to work with a counselor to complete
the registration paperwork and discuss their course selections.
8. A Financial Aid Packet is available
to families interested in atending NCHS. To be considered for financial
aid, the student must be registered for the 2008-09 academic year.
9. Tuition Statements are mailed in early May, 2008.
10. Tuition is due June 13, 2008.
* For 8th
grade students of our Catholic grade schools, evaluation paperwork
is given directly to the principal of the Catholic grade school.
