Nolan Catholic Fine Arts Department consists of programs in art, band, choir, orchestra, dance and theatre arts.
Below you will find links to information about the many aspects of our Fine Arts Department, along with specific information regarding important dates and times for auditions and camps this spring and summer.
All students must have one Fine Arts credit for graduation. Any class in the Fine Arts Department will satisfy this graduation requirement and may be taken in any of your four years of high school, including your freshman year. Of course any student may have more than one Fine Arts credit, and may take a Fine Arts class each year.
Most disciplines in the Fine Arts Department are curricular, meaning they are classes that meet during the school day and earn academic credit. The performing classes, however, by definition have most of their performances outside of the school day and so have a co-curricular component. A few groups are not curricular, but instead are extra-curricular, meaning they do not meet during the school day and do not earn academic credit. These distinctions are stated in the course guide and in this packet. Please bring this enclosed information with you when you come to NCHS to choose classes for next year.
