The safety and health of our students is a primary concern at Nolan Catholic. Our goal is to keep your students healthy by reinforcing good health habits such as washing hands, using sanitizer, coughing in the elbow, not sharing towels, razors, deodorant, etc.
The 2009 swine flu pandemic -- now known as H1N1 virus -- is still a major health concern and we will try to keep you informed of the latest news as it relates to our school community.
At this time, State health officials are recommending flu shots for everyone, especially the following high risk groups: chidren ages 6 months to 24 years, adults 24 years to 64 years with an increased risk because of chronic health problems or compromised immune systems, adults older than 62 years, pregnant women, anyone in contact with children less than 6 months of age, and health care and emergency personnel. In addition, a vaccine for H1N1 is expected to be available in mid-October.
