Jazz Band is a fun volunteer band that current band students perform in. The Jazz Band is under the direction of Chuck Compher. Band members include Mary Collins, Grant Rutherford, Nicholas Shields, Victoria Bittmenn, Ellyn Bittmenn, Jimmy Herman, Christian Chanter, Kevin Korzekwa, Patrick Pombuena, Chyna Elias, Jack Mohoney, Philip Sanchez, Rana Slaieh, Mike Alonso, Robert Espino, Edward Lynch, Cosette Meyer, Katie Newman, Martha Roberts, Cade Schlaefli, Elizabeth Gavia, and Kyle Krebs.
Students from the Nolan Jazz Band competed for the first time to be part of the TPSMEA Jazz Band which consists of students from around Texas. Several students sent in audition tapes. Jacob Chin is 1st chair Saxaphone with Martha Roberts as 2nd chair and Patrick Pombuena as alternate. Grant Rutherford is also 1st chair Trumpet with Kevin Korzekwa as 4th chair. Congratulations to all the students who tryed out and Congratulations to all those who made it!!
