National Honor Society is committed to service, scholarship, leadership and character. We promote high academic success and encourage it in others through peer tutoring. We seek to educate the whole student with respect to leadership and character. We instill a dedication to service for others on our members.
• The St. Thomas Aquinas Chapter of the NHS is open to 10 - 12th grade students.
• Tapping and induction of new members into the chapters occur during the spring semester.
• Students must maintain a cumulative 94.0 average.
• Probation for one semester if average falls below 94.
• All students must complete 4 service projects per year, two per semester.
• All meetings are mandatory. They are held on a quarterly basis, in the auditorium.
• Fees: $20
• Special Events include “Tapping” of new members, Induction Ceremony for new members to the NCHS Chapter and multiple service projects throughout the year.
• Meetings are advertised through the broadcast bulletin, posters, a Facebook group, email, and a NHS web page on the Nolan Catholic website.
