Hello to all my fellow Nolan Catholic alums. It is hard to believe Nolan is entering its 50th year! The anniversary committee has planned a number of activities and at least one of them is bound to be of special interest to each of you. I’m excited about the special group reunions, such as the ecology reunion for all of you who took Dr. Kuban or Mrs. Browning’s ecology class. Remember all the trips?I bet it will be fun reminiscing about those times!
And there’s other special reunions planned for students from band, choir and orchestra, honor graduates, athletes, Chaminade and Marian Award recipients, and more. Check them all out in the anniversary activities special insert included in this issue.
During football season each decade of alums, beginning with the 2000s, will be recognized prior to home games and during halftime. If that isn’t enough fun, this year’s Mardi Gras Dinner and Auction will be held at the fabulous Cowboys Stadium on Feb. 11, 2012. It all wraps up with the 50th anniversary Grand Finale Mass and Picnic on June 2, 2012. Details on all of these activities and more are listed on the 50th Anniversary page on the NCHS website.
In addition to all the special anniversary events, there’s also all of the other Alumni Association gatherings as well – Class reunions, Mary Ellen Byrnes Night, Alumni Theatre Night, etc. Please mark your calendars and make plans to be a part of the Alumni Association and celebrate NCHS!
