Nolan Catholic's Unique Beginning: Five Years of Firsts
In 2011-2012, Nolan Catholic High School will celebrate 50 years on the Bridge Street campus in East Fort Worth. We define the anniversary this way because Nolan's beginning is very unique. The graphic below depicts what we call the "Five Years of Firsts." The initial five years of Nolan's history each celebrate a "first":
- 1961 -- school opens under the Our Lady of Victory name and accreditation
- 1962 -- first graduation of OLV girls
- 1963 -- first class of mixed gender (OLV girls and Laneri Boy's High School) graduates
- 1964 -- Name changes to Nolan High School
- 1965 -- first year of graduates who attended all four years on this campus.
